The Problem:

Unstable Platform and Manual Friction

Haulage operators were reluctant to organise regular face‑to‑face training because fleets would be off the road, reducing revenue. The existing FORS PASS manuals and toolbox talks were paper‑based and hard to manage at scale.

This reluctance led to inconsistent training, weaker safety culture, and difficulty proving compliance during audits. Road Skills’ consultancy model lacked a scalable digital product, limiting growth potential and recurring income.

From paper and face to face training to a comprehensive custom LMS

Yammayap built a two‑component platform: (1) a WordPress marketing site, and (2) a bespoke LMS. Each month, drivers receive a new 15‑minute “Toolbox Talk” comprising three short videos and a randomized 5‑question quiz (which must be passed). Fleet managers see dashboards summarising progress, exportable reports for audits, and can now, in the evolved version, upload proprietary training content. This launched in under three months as an MVP, was piloted, then rolled out broadly — and continues to serve as the commercial core of Road Skills’ training subscription business.

Rather than building a full feature‑rich system upfront, we prioritised “must‑have” functionality, deferred secondary ideas, and iterated using feedback from pilot users.
