Founded in 2004 by business partners Richard Burkitt and James Caddy,
Yammayap was initially based at the picturesque Parkstone Bay Marina
and created beautiful marketing websites.

Richard started Yammayap in 2004 and still leads the business today. Responsible for all things commercial, he also oversees development and maintenance projects and gives input into the creative side of the business too.
With vast experience from both a technical and commercial perspective, Richard has delivered a large variety of successful projects at Yammayap. A team focussed leader, Richard enjoys seeing his employees develop and rewarding them with a fantastic work-life balance.

Matt King is the General Manager of Yammayap, having joined the company in 2024 with a mission to drive the company forward to greater growth.
In his role, Matt oversees the sales and marketing functions of the company and manages the overall team to propel it to the next level. As the integrator of the company following the EOS method, Matt plays a crucial role in ensuring alignment and cohesion within the organisation. He's kind of a big deal. People know him. He's very important. He has many leather-bound books and his apartment smells of rich mahogany.

George started with Yammayap in 2010 as a web developer, and is now our head of development. He's involved at all stages in the project lifecycle - from the discovery and planning, throughout the initial development, and then onto ongoing maintenance and support. He's also responsible for the technical direction of Yammayap.
George enjoys creating applications that make other's lives easier and finds it rewarding that the tools he builds have a positive impact. He is an experienced PHP / Laravel developer, but is always keen to learn and embrace new technologies and share that knowledge with the rest of the team.

Having been with Yammayap since 2011, Phil is an experienced senior developer who adds significant value to every project he works on. Working with clients and the internal team, he delivers bespoke web applications which greatly improve the efficiency of a business. By working closely with clients, he creates intuitive user interfaces which make transitioning from legacy workflows all the easier.
Phil combines his interpersonal skills with his technical expertise to choose the right technologies to solve problems his clients face. He's part of the entire lifecycle of a Yammayap application, from the initial consultation and planning through to support and maintenance.

Jim is Yammayap's front end developer who specialises in creating user-friendly interfaces for web applications and websites. Having been with the company since 2018, he looks after the management and maintenance of all of Yammayap's Wordpress websites.
Jim enjoys working for Yammayap because he gets freedom in his work and has a say in what he's building. A valued member of the team, he's the resident expert when it comes to user interface and user experience.

Leo joined us in July 2023. During his time here, Leo has made significant contributions to one of our flagship projects by implementing its latest features based on client requests. Specialising in Laravel and preferring backend development, Leo also maximises the tools available in the PhpStorm IDE to enhance his workflow.
His approach to work emphasises clarity and maintainability, avoiding cutting corners to ensure future usability. Leo is dedicated to automation and comprehensive testing, believing in the power of thorough feature and unit tests. Notably, Leo's achievements include fixing the coffee frother and eradicating the squeak from Phil's chair, placing him amongst the most valuable members of our team.

Brad has been with Yammayap since 2023 and is one of the developers in the team. Brad enjoys writing future-proof and scalable code, and he collaborates effectively within the team to find innovative solutions to client problems.
Brad is driven by a passion for learning and understanding alternative solutions, often seeking different opinions and continuously improving his skills. Unfortunately, Brad’s passion for learning does not extend to the kettle as he maintains a remarkable record of never making a hot drink for anyone in the team.

Grace joined Yammayap in February 2025 as our Marketing Apprentice, supporting the team with everything from social media to campaign planning. She's involved in creating and scheduling content, supporting campaigns, and contributing to the day-to-day running of our marketing.
Grace is building her skills in digital marketing, content strategy, and brand communication - bringing fresh ideas and playing a valuable role in the team.

PS – we often get asked 'what does Yammayap mean?'
Well, blame our Head of Creative for that one – apparently it's derived from the terms 'yammer' and 'yap' and reflects communicating with people. We liked it – so it stuck!
