Senior Laravel Developer
From our office in Bournemouth, Dorset, we specialise in building bespoke business workflow software that enables growing, successful companies get to the next level. In line with our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Laravel developer to join our dynamic team.

Our expertise extends to working with local businesses, empowering them to deliver national and global solutions within diverse sectors such as manufacturing, retail, construction, media, aerospace, and insurance, among others.
Your Role
As an integral part of Yammayap, you will work closely with our head of development and collaborate with our Development team. Your focus is on ensuring that the software we create is stable, scalable, and brings joy to our customers.
Your role will involve leading development projects with a typical duration of 9-12 months, which will then continue to evolve over time. Being comfortable presenting updates to clients and actively engaging with them to understand and solve their challenges will be a key aspect of your responsibilities.
Demonstrating proficiency in planning, organising, and executing tasks is crucial, as you will be working both independently and part of the team. It is essential to have a deep understanding of Laravel, be proficient with MySql, and the ability to leverage this knowledge to develop effective solutions for our clients' challenges.
Being based in our Bournemouth office four days a week is a requirement, as we value regular face-to-face team discussions. You will be required to attend client premises on occasion.
Requirements
- Commercial experience with PHP and Laravel: 5+ years
- BSc in Computer Science or related field OR able to show experience with working code examples
- Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable web application
- Proficient in automated unit and feature testing with PHPUnit
- Understanding of how to avoid common web application security flaws
- Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL or Postgres
- Experience in integrating with third-party APIs (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML)
- Familiarity with CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap & TailwindCSS
- Familiarity with developer tools such as GIT, GitHub Actions etc
- Proficient understanding of hosting web applications using the LEMP stack and AWS
Remuneration
- Competitive Salary; £50,000 - £60,000 depending on experience
