An easily accessible website with full content management;

Moors Valley is one of the busiest country parks in the UK with approximately 810,000 visitors a year. Spanning around 252 acres of beautiful Dorset country side the park offers a wealth of healthy outdoor actives including a Go Ape tree top trail and an 18-hole golf course, as well as hosting an exciting selection of concessionaires such as bicycle hire and a narrow-gauge steam railway.

The Requirement

Moors Valley is joint venture between East Dorset District Council and the Forestry Commission. Running over 1,000 events per year meant that a comprehensive Content Management System was absolutely crucial. Our WordPress CMS was the ideal solution for this requirement, offering exceptional access alongside complete flexibility should the government ever decide.

The Approach

When the opportunity to revive the original website, plus provide secure hosting went out to tender, we knew that we could create something really special. Moors Valley is an incredibly popular attraction here in Dorset so we were extremely keen to show what we could do, both in terms of design and content management. We worked hard to create an easily recognisable brand, with simple, accessible navigation and of course, full CMS.

The Result

“I am using the CMS to update the website at least once a week, if not every day and I never have a problem with it. We initially approached 4 web design companies to pitch for the web contract. I was very clear on what we needed and Yammayap delivered it perfectly; on time and on budget, I couldn’t ask for more. The guys were really easy to work with; their designs were great and their technical knowhow mean that they could accommodate all of my requests without difficulty.”

Post Launch

“Yammayap created the template for our e-newsletters before they started work on our website. When they won that opportunity they later revisited the template to ensure that it accurately reflected the web design and we are still those templates today to great effect. They have great attention to detail in that respect. Their familiarity with cross-media branding mean that although all of our printing needs are taken care of internally, their designs were robust enough and designed in such as way as to work really will with all of our printed materials. Although not vital to us that the time, in retrospect their designs have proved particularly useful, especially in creating a strong brand presence whilst using a variety of suppliers.”
